 | Even though preparing a schedule may not be any fun, there are advantages.
 | All the information will be covered before time runs out. |
 | No dead time. All time will be filled with worthwhile
activities. |
 | With the class planned, you will be more relaxed and able to enjoy the
children on Sunday. |
|
 | Plan to be there at least 15 minutes before class is scheduled to
begin. You can visit with early arrivers and get set up before class
starts. |
 | Be sure to take the time to visit with each child each Sunday.
 | Listen. Learn about their families,
their successes, their concerns. |
 | Encourage. Show your support for
the things they do. |
 | Praise. Everyone likes a pat on the
back for a job well done. |
|
 | Snack Time. Snacks as simple as
crackers and water are as good as gold to children that skipped
breakfast. Students with satisfied tummies are better listeners and
learners. During Snack Time, the students can also get to know each other
and you. |
 | An activity which requires the children to sit should be followed by an
activity that allows them to get up and release some energy. |
 | Prevent boredom by using different Teaching Techniques
during the class. |
 | Repetition is good.
Consider using a variety of different activities that all reinforce the
lesson for the day. |
