Jesus has Risen

The following is a list of Bible Truths in Matthew 28:1-17; Mark 16:1-14; Luke 24:1-49; John 20:1-21:25, the story of Jesus rising from the dead.

  1. Jesus has risen from the dead.  Matthew 28:7; Mark 16:6; Luke 24:6.
  2. God raised Jesus from the dead.  Romans 10:9.
  3. Many eyewitnesses saw Jesus after he was raised from the dead.  Matthew 28:9-10, 16-17; Mark 16:9, 12-14; Luke 24:15-43; John 20:11-16, 19-20, 26-29; 21:1-14; Acts 1:3-8; 1 Corinthians 15:5-8.
  4. Jesus said that those who believe He has risen from the dead without seeing Him are blessed.  John 20:29.

The following activities can be used to teach the Bible story and truths.

Bible Story Activities.

The Resurrection Egg Hunt.  Use this activity to reinforce the fact that Jesus rose from the dead.
Print the Questions about the Resurrection.
Cut out the questions and answers and put the answers to the questions in plastic eggs.  Hide the eggs outside.  Let the children go on a Resurrection Egg Hunt.
After all the eggs have been found, ask all the questions while playing a game of Ring the Bell.  An alternative is to put the question in one egg and an answer in another egg.  Then let the children match the questions with the right answers.  Or you could just put the verse reference in the egg.  Or mix it up.
Another alternative is to use the questions and answers in a Scavenger Hunt.
